Work Day #4

Today is Amalia's birthday!  (She is the mother in the home).  As we wrapped up the workday we surprised her with a Happy Birthday song in English and then in Spanish.  We finished all of the block work today, which included a total of 13 courses and one gable. Tomorrow we will install the roof and mix concrete to pour the floor to finish the house.  Everyone is doing fine, just a little tired and dusty.  Getting ready now for another great dinner now.

Just like last year, there are forest fires in the hills near the camp.  We aren't worried that it will get down to us because there is enough greenery and the brush is low, so don't worry.  Gracias a Dios por todas sus bendiciones.

  1. Dennis, THANK YOU for your daily updates and photos! They seem to capture the heart of all you are doing, & you are so intentional about showing us pictures of every different aspect of the week, even being sure to include everyone on the team for all the families at home to see! It is a real gift to us because we know you are tired at the end of the day & could be relaxing instead of posting a blog & trying to download photos. You are not only serving in Honduras this week, but you are serving the families of all the team members, & I SO appreciate it! Thank you!
    Praying for you all,
    Yvonne Stone (Tommy’s wife)
